Do you play better in friendly games but struggle in competitions ?

Many golfer have this problem and its a sign that you may have some mental game issues that prevent you from playing your best when you have a score card in your hand.

Here are some simple and practical tips to help you take your best game in competition



Tip 1

Prepare to play well.  Arrive  at least 30 mins before your tee time. This gives you the possibility to warm up your swing, find your rythm, test the pace of the greens and settle yourself to be in the best possible state to play great golf.



Tip 2

Leave your ego in the locker room. Don’t mix up your golf game performance with your value as a person.

Its a game to be enjoyed.



Tip 3

Stay with the process.  Don’t let your focus drift onto unhelpful things like the score.

Use a preshot routine.  Pick a clear target for every shot.  Use your breath to release any unhelpful tension.
